The ability to control and monitor personnel moving into and out of a facility has become a basic building block in security system design. Access Control Systems provide business owners, property managers, or facility managers the means by which to manage this extremely important concern. Honeywell is able to provide its customers with scalable and flexible solutions, to operate within the customer’s current and future needs. Access Control systems can also be integrated with other security systems to provide a comprehensive integrated solution for your facility. Please see the projects below as a small sampling of our Access Control capabilities.

Enterprise Access Control Systems
Access Engine – Access control has become one of today’s most important technologies for increasing the security of people, property, and valuables.
- Sophisticated access control with direct alarm management
- Seamless integration and interaction with video, fire, and intrusion systems by using the common BIS platform
Automation Engine – In our modern world, fire systems are often required by law, intrusion detection is often found necessary and the monitoring of vital building systems like HVAC are all essential to keeping an enterprise running. Therefore the Automation Engine provides one of the main functions to connect to vital building systems, to monitor, control and to check for malfunctions.
- Highly sophisticated alarm and security management system for fire and intrusion panels.
- Detailed monitoring of other vital system like HVAC all over an enterprise.
- Easy integration and configuration of subsystems through consistent use of world wide open IT standards.
- Seamless integration of subsystem with definable linked associations, triggers and controls.
Video Engine - Video systems are highly effective systems to give detailed information to an alarm situation. You find them in nearly every enterprise for monitoring main entrances, parking lots or high security areas. In many of today’s systems you find matrix switchers with monitor walls, DVRs or IP-based equipment.
- Seamless integration of various video systems under one roof and with a common look and feel
- Provides video functionality for seamless use with intrusion or access control through the common platform
- Optical guard tour feature using existing cameras in the Digital Video Matrix view
- Provides direct link between e.g. intrusion alarms and corresponding alarm archives inside connected DVR
Security Engine – The Security Engine monitors alarms and events and manages multiple Control Panels. Users can also monitor alarms and events from security systems connected to the Bosch Conettix D6100/D6600 Communications Receiver/Gateway. A graphic mapping display is included in the Security Engine.
- Provides command and control of devices from clients and host
- Supports the administration of intrusion and entry systems in G Series Control Panels
- Uses serial or Ethernet communication
Intercom Systems
Intercom enables you to speak to whoever comes to your door while within the safety of your home or office. It is also used for intra-office communications or installed at the access controlled gate of your home or gated community. We also install programmable telephone entry systems with bar codes or RFID cards for secured visitor entry into access controlled gates.
Our engineers can design the most complicated of Intercom systems and provide you with cutting edge technology such as Video and Wireless Intercom systems.
There are five main types of Intercom Systems
- Hardwired
- Audio
- Video door bell
- Telephone Entry Systems
- Wireless Intercom System
Electronic Locks
“Lock the doors!” Locks are not effective if they aren’t used. Locks have been used to secure buildings and goods for over 4,000 years. Locks can be divided into two types, preset and programmable.
Preset Locks – These are the most common type of door locks. The only way to change the key of combination of the lock is to replace the lock. Preset locks include key-in-knob, mortise, and rim locks. These all consist of variations of latches, cylinders, and dead bolts.
Programmable Locks – These locks can be either mechanical or electronic. A mechanical or programmable lock is often a dial combination lock, like the kind you would use on your high school locker. An electronic programmable lock requires you to enter a pattern of digits on a keypad.
Gate Entry System
Our specialties include commercial grade surveillance camera and DVR systems, gate operators, telephone entry systems, intrusion detection systems, access control equipment such as keypad entry, biometrics, proximity and smart cards. Further, we are also capable of meeting your physical security needs, such as fencing and other barriers to secure your premises.
Security Fencing
Fencing is a great method to protect your perimeter security. Fencing includes not just fences but also gates, turnstiles, and mantraps. Fencing and other barriers provide crowd control and help deter casual trespassing by controlling access to entrances. Drawbacks to fencing include its cost, its appearance, and its inability to stop a determined intruder. A Mantrap is where the entrance is routed through a set of double doors that are monitored by a guard and/or closed circuit TV.
Take note of all local building and zoning codes regarding fences prior to planning or contracting for a new fencing. Existing or new fencing should be strong and well maintained. Fence lines should be kept free of trash and debris. Clear away trees and vines that might aid a climber. Weeds and shrubs along fence lines, sides of buildings, or near entrance points could hide the activities of a criminal. Keep shrubs low — under 36 inches — or clear them away completely. Cut back vines attached to buildings in order to prevent determined intruders from gaining access to upper windows or unprotected roof doors.
Swing Gate Operators
From in ground, pad mounted or hinge post mounted; for residential, community, commercial and industrial applications, we have the swing gate operator that is right for your needs.
Swing gate operators are used when the gate (or two gates) opens inward or outward, swinging through the traffic lane. This type of application is the most widely used, as it provides economy and optimum space utilization when there is insufficient room to slide the entire gate out of the traffic lane.
Our lines of Swing Gate Operators range from light to heavy-duty. All of the operators we provide utilize solid state electronic control circuitry. In addition to simplifying maintenance and service, electronic control circuitry allows for a variety of operating modes and features, all selected through simple programming of the control board.
The key factors that determine the specific model used begin with the size of the traffic lane, the anticipated number of open/close cycles and the type of traffic expected to use the gate (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.). Another key concern is the appearance of the gate – do you want the ruggedness of a pad mounted operator or the unobtrusive appearance of a in ground one? Finally and most importantly, what is the budget for the installation and can we match that budget to the model indicated by these other factors? If not, what alternatives are there to meet your budget and still achieve most, if not all, of what you hope the system will accomplish?
Our job is to help you sort through these many alternatives to select the best operator for your application.
Slide Gate Operators
For residential, community, commercial and industrial applications; chain, hydraulic or rack & pinion drive, we have the operator that is right for your needs.Slide gate operators are used when there is limited space behind the gate line of the secured facility, so that the gate runs parallel to the fence or wall and perpendicular to the traffic lane. Our lines of Slide Gate Operators range from light to heavy-duty. All of the operators we provide come with solid state electronic control circuitry. Another key concern is the security provided by the gate – does the customer want the higher security of a rail-style drive or the economy of a chain drive? Finally and most importantly, what is the budget for the installation and can we match that budget to the model indicated by these other factors? If not, what alternatives are there to meet your budget and still achieve most, if not all, of what you
